Fishing Club Report 22-1-17

Another fine, sunny day, but winds predicted to increase by mid-morning.  Two boats remained in the bay and the rest had a 6.00am start to head off shore. Those that ventured out the heads certainly returned with good catches.

Now even though the cut off time for weigh-in is 1.00pm, this was extended for more than an 90 minutes for Greg and Adam as they towed a boat back to the Botany Boat Ramp. They even sent us a photo of them towing the boat just in case we all thought they were still fishing.

As rightful compensation for their efforts, Greg won the day and Adam came third, well done boys!!

Greg won with 6 fish, 3.3kgs, 4 species giving him 24.9pts, Steve  was 2nd with 6 fish, 3.2kgs, 3 species giving him 21.6pts and Adam 3rd with 5 fish, 2.6kgs, 3 species, giving him 19.8pts.

So bait up and see you all in 2 weeks for LADIES DAY.  As usual catering on Ladies Day will be by a firm called Roy and Steve’s Fine Foods!!
